It now includes x-ceptional new benefits for both installers and their customers when installing the new tado° X for Professionals range of smart heating products, which launched in May across Europe.  

Customers using registered tado° X Professional installers will not only be getting the exciting new X range but they will be eligible for an extra three years on their warranty. The installers themselves will unlock the tado° X for Professionals benefits of our rewards programme, expert training and dedicated real-time phone support – all while offering their customers a warranty option that cannot be bettered across the smart heating industry.

It comes as tado° also released its Wireless Smart Thermostat X at IFA in Berlin, Germany on September 4. The tado° X for Professionals range offer applies to the Wired Smart Thermostat X, Wireless Smart Thermostat X, Smart Radiator Thermostat X, Heat Pump Optimizer X and Bridge X products bought from approved trade partners. The three-year warranty offer is in addition to the standard two-year tado° guarantee – giving customers peace of mind for five full years.

The X for Professionals range is another demonstration of tado’s commitment to help installers grow their businesses by offering the best home energy management products, services and after-sales care.

How does the offer work?

tado° X for Professionals products can be purchased at the tado° Installer Shop at  installers-shop.tado.com or from an approved trade supplier like EF90. New installers will be invited to register for the tado° Professional programme. Installers who are already part of tado° Professional will not need to register. Installers will have their own individual six-digit code from tado° which they pass to their customer. The customer then goes online at tadowarranty.com, and uses the code plus the warranty details with the products to register their devices and unlock the five-year warranty. Why tado° X for Professionals products?

To provide a more stable connection with greater range across larger homes, tado° X products have adopted the Matter over Thread standard to communicate to each other. If customers already have an active Thread mesh network through a compatible Thread border router (e.g. Apple Homepod Mini), they will not have to purchase the Bridge X Thread border router. However if they are starting their Thread mesh network from scratch, customers can purchase the Bridge X Thread border router as part of a starter kit. In either case, additional Bridge X devices can be added to extend the range of the Thread mesh network in larger homes and make it more robust.

As part of the mission to make smart tech easier to adopt into the future, Matter has been devised as the new unified connectivity standard for smart home devices. It has been adopted by more than 240 member companies, including Amazon, Google, Apple, Samsung, Ikea, Philips Hue and Somfy. It means Matter over Thread devices from different manufacturers can communicate with each other and tado° X products easily integrate with customers’ smart home ecosystem.

The tado° Smart Thermostat X, Smart Radiator Thermostat X and Wireless Temperature Sensor X work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home voice assistants. 

tado° X for Professionals products are not compatible with the V3+ range due to the different communication protocols. V3+ products will continue to be sold and supported by tado°.
