Munich, 16.10.2024: tado° today announced the appointment of Lukas Zyla as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, effective 1 October, 2024, as the company continues its growth path to become Europe’s leader for home energy management solutions.

When tado° was founded 13 years ago, it set out to revolutionize home climate control and became the market leader for energy-efficient heating solutions, managing more than four million smart thermostats in customers’ homes across Europe. In 2022, tado° expanded its vision towards becoming the industry leader in home energy management. The company offers one simple platform to control energy consumption and, as a result, to significantly reduce energy costs by more than 30% for heating and electric vehicle charging while helping shift electricity consumption to the cheapest and greenest hours of the day with its dynamic tariff offering. 

As tado° accelerates its mission to reduce energy costs for millions of households across Europe while driving the green energy transition, the company is bringing in Zyla, an experienced leader in the smart home industry to help drive growth for the company.

Zyla, who previously served as CFO and managing director on the management board of smart home platform tink GmbH, succeeds tado° interim CFO Josef Wenzl, who is retiring.

At tink, Zyla was responsible for the company’s strategy, expansion projects and profitable growth. Previously, he worked for UniCredit, where he managed large scale transformation projects in various positions, most recently as Vice President of the inhouse consulting department. Zyla started his career at Avantgarde Group. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Oxford and HEC Paris, as well as an MBA from WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management.
